Kaal Sarpa Yoga – No need to worry..!!

Generally KSY is formed when all planets are between Rahu and Ketu. (Ernst Wilhelm: Core Yogas, pages 125-132).

It does not need to worry about KSY because of the following reasons:

1) First of all, such Yogas are not generally considered in the KP practice. But a “Kalsarpa Yoga & K.P.” article was published in the K.P. & Astrology Year Book 2002, pages 35-37, without the name of author, mentioning the need of doing exhaustive research work on this yoga. It is said there that whenever such a yoga is present in a horoscope it is assumed that the concerned person is to die early and can survive only if other planetary influences are strong enough. Even if he survives he is to face various strives, suffering, misunderstanding and failure in his life. Rahu is supposed to destroy the matters of the house by his sub lordship. For instance, if Rahu is the cuspal sub lord of 4th house, person cannot have peace and comfort. . . Vehicles, own house etc. do not serve him well rather become a source of worry and tension. . . . This theory is similar to one’s narration that Guruji KSK told Hasbe Guru that one cannot own a house in one's life, if one's 4th cuspal sub lord is Rahu. Having Rahu as his 4th CSL himself and also having his own house, how could Guruji KSK say like this to his disciple Hasbe Guru ??? (Guruji KSK’s Horoscope details are in Jan 1980 issue of Astrology &Athrishta/ Astro secrets & KP, Part II, pages 249-271/ Notable Persons & KP, pages 8-33/ K.P. & Astrology Year Book 2005, page 60) Not only Guruji KSK but also Tony Blair, David Beckham, Whitney Houston, Valery Giscard D'estaing, Christie Hefner, Henry Kissinger, Joseph Patrick Kennedy, Juliana (Queen of Netherland), Nicky Hilton, James A. Garfield, John F. Kennedy, King George VI, Prince Arthur (son/Victoria), Bruno Mussolini with 4th CSL RAHU had or has one/ more than one own house(s). This Rahu cuspal sub lord destroying theory is not working.

2) Secondly, nobody knows from where KSY has originated as no reference can be found in any of the classical texts from Parashar to Varahamihir, and Dr. B. V. Raman: "Three Hundred Important Combinations" and Dr. K. S. Charak: "Yogas in Astrology". It is supposed to become popular after mentioning in James T. Braha: "Ancient Hindu Astrology for the Modern Western Astrologer", 1986, page 239, and now it looks like a frightful KSDosha rather than KSYoga for a lot of remedies to make money.

3) Thirdly, it is not a hindrance for numerous notable horoscopes with KSY to become famous and successful celebrities, like:

a) spiritual leader Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, ‘Rashtra Sant’ Morari Bapu, Swami Swaroopanand, Murari Bapu, Mahamidhi Swami, Swami Chinmayananda, Srila Puri Maharaja, Paramananda Saraswati, St. Joseph Damien, Josemaria Escriva De Balaguer, Pope Paul VI, Poe John Paul II, Ven. Sunlun Sayadaw;

b) political leader Jawaharlal Nehru, Morarji Desai, Zail Singh, Abdur Rehman Antulay, Ajit Singh, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Sheikh Hasina Wajed, Ayub Khan, King Edward VII, Harold Wilson, William Gladstone, King Abdullah (Jordan), Abraham Lincoln, Benito Mussolini, Robert Kennedy, Jacques Chirac, Martin Luther King, George W. Bush, Nelson Mandela, Yitzhak Rabin, Ariel Sharon, Bernard Montgomery, Lee Kuan Yew;

g) writer Stephen King, Anais Nin, John Steinbeck, Francoise Gilot, Amrita Pritman,

h) Nobel prize winner Ernest Hemingway, C V Raman, Rajendra K Pachauri, Marie Curie;

i) inheritor of multi-billion dollars Christina Onassis and her daughter Athina Roussel, multi-million dollar inheritor Paul Cezanne, Antonio D’Amico, Gordon Getty, Jeniffer Grant, Grimalda Gucci, Rbertto Gucci, multi-million dollar lottery winner Paraskeve Kantges;

j) other notable Miss World Jennifer Hosten, Miss Universe Lara Dutta, Prince Consort Philip (Queen Elizabeth II), Camilla Parker Bowel (Prince Charles), Maria Shriver (Arnold).

4) Fourthly, here is what Dr. B.V. Raman has to say about KSY:

"KSY has its bright shades. It makes one industrious, hardworking, aware of one's own ability- despite mental restlessness. It raises the natives to top positions in their respective fields provided of course other Raja Yogas are present. Rahu-Ketu axis favors rise in mundane life while Ketu-Rahu axis indicates elevation in spiritual matters. It is also found that KSY natives get betrayed by trusted friends and even relatives. Suffering due to developments in life strengthens the mind and mellows one's outlook. This is a blessing of KSY…. It occurs to me that undue importance need not be given to KSY. The view held by some astrologers that KSY affects longevity and adversely affects the operation of other yogas favoring a rise in life, achievement, and accomplishment is not tenable. The overall assessment of the horoscope is important. No single yoga, including KSY, is capable or marring or making a horoscope. In our view, KSY plays an important role in ‘mundane astrology’ and is not of much importance in ‘individual charts’ (as discussed in the late 70s and early 80s issues of Astrological Magazine.)."

5) Finally well known Vedic astrologer Shri K.N. Rao is very critical about KSP, branding it as a manufactured fraud and the biggest source of income of the fraudulent astrologers, since it has been misused a lot to scare the people, very much like the way Mangal dosha and the 7½-years Sade Sati of Saturn are being used to exploit people all the time.
